Beacon Behavioral Services offers a wide range of professional services in our offices, conveniently located in Avon, Glastonbury,and Bloomfield, Connecticut. Ample free parking and a comfortable setting await your visit.
Support Groups

At Beacon we offer a variety of support groups for children, adolescents and adults.  Some of these groups are listed below, however, the dates, times and availability are subject to change.  Please call the specific clinical facilitator for more information.  If  you are interested in other groups that are not listed below please call our Avon office at 860-676-9350 (ext. 27).

Avon Office:

Parents of Children with ADD, ADHD and Other Difficult Behaviors: This group is a supportive and educational group geared toward the needs of parents.  Come, share your frustrations and your triumphs.  Resource materials are available.  This group meets for 5 sessions at 7:30pm. 

Women's Support Groups: There are two women's support groups in th Avon Office. One meets alternate Wednesdays from 4-5 pm with Dr. Habelow, and the other meets every Wednesday from 1-2 pm with Ms. Rudolph. The groups meet to discuss a wide range of issues impacting women including relationships, work situations, alcohol and substance abuse and parent and family stresses.  Improving self-esteem and one's motivation are central themes to these client run professionally facilitated groups.  For more information please contact Wendy Habelow, Ph.D., 860-676-9350, ext. 28, about the alternate Wednesday at 4 pm group or Betty Ann Rudolph, LCSW,(860-676-9350, ext. 57, about the Wednesday 1 pm group.

Bloomfield Office:

Women's Support Group: This group meets on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 6:10pm to discuss a wide range of issues impacting women including relationships, work situations, alcohol and substance abuse and parent and family stresses.  Improving self-esteem and one's motivation are central themes to this client run professionally facilitated group.  For more information please contact Don Topor, LCSW, 860-676-9350 ext. 56.
